(Las Vegas, USA) – On day one at the 2015 World Championships taking place in Las Vegas Nevada, the event, featuring the best wrestlers in the world, opened with the Greco-Roman competitors in the 66KG, 75KG, 98KG weight classes.

In the preliminaries of the 98KG Greco-Roman weight class, Canada’s only entry for the day, Jeremy Latour of the Guelph Wrestling Club met Changgun An of Korea on the mat. Unfortunately, Latour was unsuccessful (0-9).

After the preliminaries and before the day’s medal finals, the opening day also featured the event opening ceremonies featuring song medleys and dance numbers made famous by the city known for its entertainment value.
