2023 Canadian Wrestling Championships conclude with Greco-Roman wrestling
WATERLOO, ON – The 2023 Canadian Wrestling Championships (Senior, Junior, Cadet) wrapped up on March 12, from RIM Park in Waterloo with the Senior and Junior men’s Greco-Roman wrestling competition.
Junior Men
In the Junior men’s division, it was Alberta that took home the top prize as the Provincial Team Award winners. It was also Alberta’s Dinos Wrestling Club, that walked away with the Club Team Award. The Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Junior men went to Brantley Saar, from Dinos Wrestling Club, who took gold in the 72kg weight class.
Senior Men
As for the Senior men, it was Quebec that earned the Provincial Team Award. Tritton Performance Wrestling Club, from Montreal, was named the Club Team Award winner. Tritton’s John Yeats was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Senior men, after winning the 82kg weight class.
