About Dr. Judy Goss:
Dr. Goss is a mental performance consultant who has been involved in every summer Olympic quadrennial going back to the 2000 Athens Games. She has actively been researching and presenting on sport psychology since the late 1980s and has been awarded numerous grants over the years. Some of her professional roles include:
- Mental performance consultant for Wheelchair Basketball Canada (2002 – 2020);
- Member of the managing council for the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (2006 – 2018);
- The discipline lead for Sport Psychology on the National Sport Science and Medicine Advisory Council (NSSMAC) for Own the Podium (2010 – 2015); and
- Director of Sport Performance and then Sport Science for the Canadian Sport Centre (now the Canadian Sport Institute) Ontario.
Currently, Dr. Goss is a member of the integrated support teams for the sports of beach volleyball, figure skating, and wrestling.
A resident of Ontario, she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, in addition to a M.Sc. from the University of North Texas and a B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
