Effective January 1, 2019, United World Wrestling (UWW), our international federation, will be implementing mandatory UWW Coach Licences for all coaches attending United World Wrestling sanctioned competitions. These licences are similar to those your athletes have been required to purchase and MUST be purchased through the WCL head office.

The licence covers medical expenses abroad and require you to agree to the UWW Code of Ethics and the UWW Code of Conduct. Attached is the questionnaire that must be filled out. It also includes extracts of the UWW constitution and rules referring to coaches conduct and behavior.

The cost to purchase the licence is $140 CAD, and the Wrestling Canada Lutte head office will need the following:

1. Completed United World Wrestling Coaches Questionnaire
2. Valid Passport for Travel
3. Passport-style headshot

Once all three items have been received, the licence purchase process will start and you will receive an invoice for $140 CAD. Please note: The licence approval process can take upwards of three (3) weeks. If you are planning to coach at a UWW sanctioned event, you must begin the coach licence process well before departure.
