Former Olympian, and current Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) board member, Jasmine Mian has been elected to Calgary city council. Mian won her seat in Ward 3.

Mian competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics, placing 12th in the 48kg weight class. In 2014, she was a bronze medalist at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
