A her first international championships, the 2018 Cadet Pan American Championships, Addo captured a silver medal in the 46 kg weight-class behind Mexican Adriana Hernandez Sanchez.

Addo was the top 46 kg finisher at the Women’s Cadet Trials in April 2018, securing a spot on her first international team.
