(OTTAWA, ON) – Wrestling Canada Lutte is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Reith as Marketing and Communications Manager.

Reith has spent the last three years with Swimming Canada as the Marketing, Events, & Communications Coordinator. During his time there he acted as the interim Marketing & Promotions Manager, and was the media liaison for Team Canada at the 2017 FINA World Championships. He impressed the hiring panel with his skillset and passion and will be a welcome addition to WCL.

“I’m thrilled to come aboard with Wrestling Canada Lutte,” said Reith. “The organization has been successful on the Olympic level and proven to be a leader within Canada. I’m looking forward to helping grow the popularity of wrestling in the country, and build on the Wrestling Canada Lutte brand.”

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a new position for WCL. Reith will work in close collaboration with WCL staff members, and the broader wrestling community to deliver WCL’s marketing and communications activities. He will be responsible for developing and executing WCL’s marketing, communications, website and social media programs.

“We are excited about Chris joining the WCL team and the opportunity to provide much needed support and capacity to WCL in the area of marketing and communications,” said Tamara Medwidsky, Executive Director. “Sharing our athlete stories, celebrating their success, and building a stronger WCL brand will be some of the key goals and objectives moving forward.”

Reith is set to begin with WCL at the National Office on November 1^st.
