World Championship team spots on the line at Women’s Team Trials
TORONTO – The Women’s Team Trials are coming to Toronto this Saturday.
The Trials will feature Olympic and two-time Commonwealth Games Champion Erica Wiebe, Commonwealth Games Champion Diana Weicker, 2017 World Championships bronze medallist Justina Di Stasio, Commonwealth Games medallists Jessica MacDonald, Emily Schaefer, and Danielle Lappage, and other top female wrestlers.
The Women’s Team Trials are being used to select spots for the 2018 Senior World Championships team. Six Olympic weight-classes are being selected.
The event is taking place at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, and wrestling will begin at 10 a.m. ET.
The 2018 Senior World Championships are being held in Budapest, Hungary, from October 20 to 28.

The Trials are being held due to a conflict between the Junior / Senior Canadian Championships and the Women’s World Cup in March.
Non-Olympic weight-class spots will be selected at the Non-Olympic Weight Senior World Team Trials on July 6.
