Wrestling Canada Lutte mourns the passing of Bill Haliburton
Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) is deeply saddened to share the passing of Bill Haliburton, a respected official, builder, and lifelong contributor to wrestling in Canada. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those in the wrestling community who were impacted by his remarkable career.
A member of the WCL Hall of Fame, Class of 2002, Haliburton was recognized for his outstanding service as both a referee and administrator. He officiated at numerous national and international competitions, earning a reputation for fairness, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the sport.
Throughout his distinguished career, Haliburton played a key role in the development of officiating standards in Canada. He was a member of the CAWOA Board of Directors for a decade and the Executive Committee from 1992-1995. His leadership and dedication helped shape the strong foundation of wrestling officiating in Canada.
Wrestling Canada Lutte joins the wrestling community in celebrating his life and mourning his loss. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
