OTTAWA – Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) is pleased to announce the results of its board of director elections, held at the Annual General Meeting in Ottawa on September 26, 2026.

WCL welcomes new director at large, Bill Bain, elected for a 2-year term. He joins incumbents Indhyra Helfrich Linares and David Bush, re-elected for 2-year terms. They join fellow directors Brittanee Laverdure (Chair), Kim Ma, and Michael Joko. Officer positions will be named at the next Board of Directors meeting later this fall.

WCL also extends sincerest thanks to outgoing director Theresa Vladicka for her service, leadership and valuable contributions over the last 3 years.

WCL also brought together its Provincial and Territorial Members to Ottawa for discussions around building better alignment. An important consensus was reached on implementing an integrated national participant database and registration system. “We are encouraged by the momentum toward greater national alignment and shared commitment,” said Tamara Medwidsky, CEO. “The consensus around a national participant database and registration system is an important step toward more consistent data, streamlined registration, and better service to participants nationwide.”

The Membership also continued its collaborative work on strategic planning, supported by Sheffe Consulting.
