Wrestling Canada Lutte mourns Greg Woodcroft
It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Gregory Paul Woodcroft, on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Greg is survived by the love of his life, his wife, “Bobbi” Roberta Joanne (Newson), and his children Jessica Joanne and Joseph Ross.
Also survived by his parents James and Helen Woodcroft, in-laws Glen and Joanne Newson, brothers John (Jo-Anne), James “Buddy” (Heather), Warren (Santa), Chris (Nil), Patrick (Serena). Sister-in-law Debbie Spagnoletti (Newson) and brother-in-law Frank Spagnoletti, nieces and nephews Mark (Heather), Laura (Jason), Jimmy, Katie (Brad), Amanda, Ryan, Nikki, Matthew, Michael, Sean, Lilah, great-niece Maeve and loving family pets Sydney and Rocky.
After competing for Canada at the 1996 Olympics in wrestling, Greg transferred his skills into education for the past 21 years. He provided hope for all his students and staff in his role as a teacher, Vice-Principal and Principal.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Caledonia on Thursday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. Interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the “Jessica and Joey Woodcroft Education Trust Fund”, would be greatly appreciated.
