2024 Canadian Wrestling Championships conclude with Greco-Roman wrestling
OTTAWA, ON – The 2024 Canadian Wrestling Championships (Senior, Junior U20, Cadet U17) wrapped up on March 17, from TD Place Arena in Ottaea, with the Senior and Junior men’s Greco-Roman wrestling competition.
Junior Men
In the Junior men’s division, it was Ontario that took home the top prize as the Provincial Team Award winners. It was British Columbia’s Rustom Wrestling Club, that walked away with the Club Team Award. The Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Junior men went to Jastej Mundi, from Rustom Wrestling Club, who took gold in the 97kg weight class.
Senior Men
As for the Senior men, it was also Ontario that earned the Provincial Team Award. London-Western Wrestling Club was named the Club Team Award winners. London-Western’s Gavin Eldridge was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Senior men, after winning the 67kg weight class.
