Canada’s top wrestlers meet up at the University of Guelph to battle for Canadian Championships titles

(Ottawa, ON – March 31, 2014) The 2014 ASICS Cadet and Juvenile Canadian Wrestling Championships will be held in Guelph, Ontario, this coming weekend, and will showcase the new FILA rules for the first time at these age group Championships.

This Championship is the primary selection event for the FILA Cadet National Team which will represent Canada at several international events leading up to the 2014 Youth Olympic Games and Cadet World Championships. The list of confirmed participants, for all age and weight categories, will be published after weigh-in sessions.

The 2014 ASICS Cadet and Juvenile Canadian Wrestling Championships are organized by the Guelph Wrestling Club, in collaboration with Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association, as sanctioned by Wrestling Canada. Cadet and Juvenile freestyle tournaments will run on Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th. FILA Cadet Trials and Greco-roman wrestling will be held on Sunday, April 6th.
