Juniors looking to gain experience at Pan Am Championships
GUATEMALA CITY – Wrestling Canada Lutte is sending a team of 18 to the 2019 Junior Pan American Championships taking place in Guatemala City from June 5 to 7.
Alexia Seal will be leading the women’s team in international experience. Seal won gold at the 2017 Junior Pan Am Championship in Lima Peru. She followed that up with a fifth-place finish at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Tampere, Finland.
On the men’s side, Brayden Todd just missed the podium at the 2018 Junior Pan American Championship with a fifth-place finish at 57 kg.
Despite being a first-year Junior, Carson Lee has already gained a wealth of international experience including silver at the 2018 Cadet Pan Am Championships, bronze at the 2018 Cadet World Championships, and fourth at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
Liam Saccary will be Canada’s lone competitor in Greco-Roman, wrestling at 63 kg.
