OTTAWA – Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) is announcing the resignation of Leigh Vierling as the High Performance Director (HPD). Leigh joined WCL as Women’s National Coach from 2005 to 2016, and transitioned to the High Performance Director role in 2016, following the Rio Olympic Games.

WCL acknowledges Leigh’s contribution to wrestling as a coach and administrator over the last 13 years.

The High Performance program will be led by Interim HPD, Lúcás Ó’Ceallacháin, with the support of WCL International Coach Tonya Verbeek who will be overseeing preparation for the Junior, Senior and U23 World Championships.
