Wrestling Canada Lutte – On October 16, the Harper Government proclaimed 2015 as the Year of Sport in Canada. This is an historic and wonderful announcement that underscores and celebrates the key role that sport plays in Canada.

The Year of Sport is a proactive pan-Canadian initiative implemented to celebrate sport in Canada and the role it plays in enhancing the lives of Canadians from coast to coast to coast. During the year, sport events and other celebratory activities will highlight how sport benefits Canadians.

Wrestling Canada Lutte applauds the announcement and will share in the activities by hosting several international and domestic wrestling events throughout the year. Wrestling’s presence will be highlighted by our participation in the Pan American Games in Toronto, which will be an important preparatory event for the team bound for Rio in 2016.
