Cadets looking to gain international experience at Worlds

ZAGREB, Croatia – Ten Canadian Cadets are set to wrestle the best in the world at the Cadet World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Canadian team of 16 and 17-year-olds will be looking to gain valuable international experience.

Five members of the team have prior experience at a Cadet World Championships. Victoria Seal finished 10^th and Nyla Burgess 11^th last year on the women’s side, while Lachlan McNeil placed 12^th, Dechlan Papadopoulos 19^th, and Carson Lee 21^st at the 2017 Championships.

The cadet team will be looking to build on their results from the Cadet Pan Am Championships in May.

Vivica Addo, Aleah Nickel, Lee and McNeil each captured silver, and Seal, Anika White, and Nicolae Gandrabura took home bronze at the continental championships.

The 2018 Cadet World Championships run from July 2 to 8.
