CALGARY – Canadian wrestlers’ last chance to qualify for the 2019 Senior World Championships will take place at the Non-Olympic Weight Trials on June 29 at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium in Calgary.

Wrestlers who did not qualify for the team in an Olympic weight-class at the 2019 Senior Canadian Championships will compete for spots in the FS 61 kg, FS 70 kg, FS 79 kg, WW 55 kg, WW 59 kg, WW 65 kg and WW 72 kg weight-classes.

The fourth FS non-Olympic weight-class, FS 92 kg was not represented at the 2019 Senior Pan American Championships so there is no available spot on the Senior World Championship team.

The most competitive weight-class appears to be women’s 59 kg, which will see matchups between 2018 U23 World Champion Alex Town, 2019 Pan American Champion Laurence Beauregard, and 2018 Senior World Championships team member Linda Morais.
