Men’s wrestling individual medals re-awarded following doping infraction

TORONTO (U SPORTS) – A pair of medals in the men’s 100 kg weight class at the 2020 U SPORTS Wrestling Championships were re-awarded Thursday due to a doping infraction.

Bronze medalist Job Reinhart of the Guelph Gryphons will be upgraded to silver, while Concordia’s Jeremy Poirier, who originally placed fourth, will now also be on the podium in third.

Further details on the doping infraction were disclosed by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) on Thursday afternoon and can be viewed here.

U SPORTS congratulates the two student-athletes who have been awarded silver and bronze medals for their performances at the 2020 U SPORTS Wrestling Championships.
