Team Canada closes the 2nd day of women’s competition at the Senior World Wrestling Championships with a podium finish! 



Jillian Gallays, from the Saskatoon Wrestling Club, fought 5 tough matches to take the bronze medal at 53 kg on the 2nd day of women’s competition. Jillian beat out opponents from Belarus (10-0), Korea (10-0), and Ukraine (6-5) before losing by fall to 3-time Olympic Champion and now 15-time World Champion Saori Yoshida from Japan. Jillian continued in the repechage rounds beating Malysheva of Russia 6-2 to win the bronze.
